Special Edition Steam Locomotives

Allegheny Scale Models is proud to present our series of "Special Edition" brass O Scale models.  Beginning with a quality brass import, we make significant mechanism and detailing upgrades to produce a unique custom model.  Our first offerings included a Baltimore & Ohio S1 2-10-2 from OMI, a Nickel Plate Road S3 Berkshire from U.S. Hobbies, a New York Central H10b from U.S. Hobbies, and a Missouri Pacific 2-8-2 converted from a Sunset USRA Heavy Mikado.

Our objective with these models is to offer our customers a reasonably priced locomotive that runs well and is more distinctive in tems of detail and finish than those generally available.  Our "Special Edition" models generally include new drives, ball bearing gearboxes, Pittman can motors, LED lighting, Kadee Type E couplers, prototype detailing, professional custom paint, and prototypical weathering.

Our currently available "Special Edition" models are listed below.  Models that will be available in the future include the following:
Chesapeake & Ohio Class T1 Texas 2-10-4 - Road No. 3023 - Westside Model Co.
        Chesapeake & Ohio Class K4 Kanawha 2-8-4 - U.S. Hobbies
Nickel Plate Road Class H6a Mikado 2-8-2 - Sunset Models
Nickel Plate Road Class S3 Berkshire 2-8-4 - U.S. Hobbies
